The younger weekly art students were involved in the greeting cards project. The children produced original artwork that was then printed in high gloss for packs of 10 greeting cards. They have been a wonderful success selling 500 cards on the night! They are simply unique and uplifting to anyone who receives them. We will continue to sell these card packs to help raise funds for Helena's House. Please email me if you would like some!
This beautiful portrait of Helena was painted by artist Mary-kate Thomson. Mary-Kate encapsulates Helena's beauty, compassion and spirituality in this painting. Behind Helena is a young St Therese from France which was her confirmation name. Helena is now the Guardian angel of all young children and especially for those who are 'Just a bit different'.
For no-one should ever feel lonely.

We organised a spectacular Canvas and Cocktail event called 'Starry, Starry Night' held in June 2021. This was the launch for our fundraising initiative for 'Helena's House'. 'Helena's House' will be named in honour of our daughter Helena who tragically died in October 2019 of a pulmonary embolism. Helena worked in disabilities while studying at university. She dreamed of being an occupational therapist and a Dr who made a difference in the disability community.
Helena's House will be a special space for young adults and teenage children with a disability. In this space they can be free from isolation make friends and have the opportunity to learn life skills to encourage independent living. This was Helena's passion that we should live in an inclusive community and that no-one should ever be lonely.
Fiona's art with Heart came on board on so many levels. Some of my older art students knew Helena well from years of coming to art classes. I chose 6 of my art students to exhibit with other invited artists. This was part of the exclusive exhibition. This was an emotional and healing journey for all involved. Video's were produced on all the children's beautiful stories. Please go to my Facebook page to look through their wonderful stories.
